Special Program ADDED to WHS schedule – Sunday, 11/12/17 – Erie Canal

This year is the 200th anniversary of the first shovel of dirt to build the Erie Canal. That took place in Rome, NY on July 4, 1817. To celebrate this event, I will be showing a DVD called “Boom and Bust, America’s Journey on the Erie Canal” on Sunday, November 12 at 2 PM at the Walworth Historical Society. The program will last about 45 minutes and YOU are invited to join my wife and me. This is being added as a “special event” for the WHS hosted by your Town Historian, Gene Bavis.
