March 19, 2018 – Program will be “Whatsits”
We have done this sort of program in the past, but it’s been a while. “Whatsit” is a cute little ditty meaning “What Is It?” We find objects that are not common in today’s world and we invite YOU to try and figure out what they are for and what they are called. At our March 19 meeting, we will provide some things to show, but we also invite YOU to bring your objects to show, too. Maybe you know what it is or maybe not…bring them and show them. This is FUN. Gene Bavis, Town Historian is a tool collector and member of the Early American Industries Association. This past May he was able to stump dozens of “experts” on old tools at their meeting at Old Sturbridge Village in Massachusetts. One was subsequently identified. The other, he still doesn’t know. Please join us for a FUN EVENING of looking at some unusual objects. Refreshments are ALWAYS served at our functions. Please bring a friend and come to 2257 Academy St, Walworth on March 19, 2018 at 7:30 PM.
After the program update: Thirty people attended and several of our members and guest brought things to show. There are photos under Recent Events
